Sony Should Take The Next Step – End PC Crossplay Support

Now that Sony has let the disc drive news out of the bag, let’s drop another bit of news and end Crossplay with PCs.

Without a doubt, the worst thing that has happened to console players has been the inclusion of PC players in online matchmaking. The amount of cheaters combined with the hardware gaps make for a drastically unfair gaming experience.

PC players like to point at ‘aim assist’ any time they are taken out by a console player. My question to them is if it’s such an advantage, why don’t they switch to Console? They could ask console players the same thing and the answer is obvious – PC gaming rigs are exponentially more expensive than consoles. With the growing cost of GPUs and other needs it’s ridiculous to think everyone can afford to take that leap when consoles can be had for $500-650.

I implore Sony to take the next step and end Crossplay with PC and if necessary, Xbox as well. With the rumored price of the PS6 being over $1000 it will be crucial for those taking the next step with Sony to know that they can play their games without the threat of PC players ruining the experience as they have for some years now.
